A bunch of daily doodles/designs I do for the phone of it and for warm up for the day :)

For His Kingdom Chapter Covers

My summer project is a historical comic following the campaign of Jeanne d'Arc, including the Battle of Herrings, Siege of Orleans, and Siege of Compiègne up until her capture and burning. The chapter covers shown here are allegoric and follow the language of heraldry with plays on the dexter and sinister positioning of the animals to illustrate the situations at the time. The English Lion, the Scottish Unicorn, and the Gallic (French) Rooster all show up and on later chapter covers, horses and dove symbolism will be employed as well.

Enjoy!

Rio Sketches

Just some things I doodled after I seen the film. It would have worked just as well in 2D in my opinion, but the character animation on the faces was dar good.

1st Year - Final Character Design

Final assignment for Character Design this year.

This is suppose to be the goddess Ammut from Egyptian mythology. She would judge people by weighing their heart and if it was unworthy, she'd eat it. There are purposely no gender markers, because supernatural beings don't possess our definition of gender. I had a hell of a lot of fun drawing her! She's a combo of a sketch done by Nico Marlet of a cat and of Scar from The Lion King.

24 Hour Film Layouts

Layout done for our 24 hour film. I was background man for the film and just had to do these two. Shows what I can do in 24 hours if I try, eh? haha.

Character Timeline

My character timeline based off people I've known in Georgia who are still gun-tottin' like the Civil War is still going on. This guy actually is from the Civil War era at least and lost his legs because of it. Darn!
